The Grifting Years

The only surprise has been the relatively light load of these:

S. 4692 was introduced in the Senate on June 4, 2026, by Senators Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) and Mike Lee (R-UT). The bill seeks to ensure “continued consumer access” to homeopathic products by amending the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FDCA). As CFI knows from our many years of opposing homeopathy, S. 4692 would give health care fraudsters the ability to mislead and endanger medical consumers.

Put simply, homeopathy is a multi-billion-dollar health care fraud, an industry that relies on pseudoscientific and illegitimate health claims. Annually, American patients are cheated out of billions of dollars per year and sold fake medicine for real medical problems. [from an email from Committee for Inquiry (CFI)]

Tuberville? Check. Lee? Check.

To be complete, a few Democrats have also supported fraudulent medicine over the years, some Senator from Iowa if memory serves. But I think he was in earnest, while neither one of these Republicans has done anything impressive in their time in the Senate.

CFI’s request?

We urge every CFI supporter to contact their Senator and call on them to vote against S. 4692.
