So What’s Coming Down The Pipe?

It’s Tuesday and it already feels like Trump is flopping about like a salmon cornered in the shallows of the spawning river by a hungry bear. From important news such as

Trump keeps claiming Iran made concessions. Iran keeps denying them

and

Congress votes to rein in Trump on Iran in rare rebuke

and

Todd Blanche hit with state bar complaint backed by 101 former judges

not to mention the DNI debacle, now with sequels, or simply noting his entire Cabinet is not made up of the “best,” as he promised oh so long ago, but the worst. Moving on to relatively obscure failures, we have ducks dying as a consequence of his gross and possibly illegal mismanagement of the repair of the Reflecting Pool, the stock market slumping with the NASDAQ down 2.21% today, shrinking oil and munition stockpiles, and … oh, stop there?

Sure.

Look, maybe Trump has the patience of a saint, but I doubt it. Following the trail of squirrel-chewed baked goods into the forest, let’s ask the bleeding obvious:

What will he do to relieve his feelings of failure and inadequacy?

He has nuclear strike capability.

So, if Trump decides to take Tehran off the map, what will happen?

Will someone in that Cabinet try to stop him?

How about in the military?

Will Vance finally step up?

I think the answers here are No. But I think what might happen is this: Countries with nuclear missiles and surveillance capabilities will note the launch and the impact, and a few minutes later one, or more, of them will hit D.C., or Mar-a-Lago, or wherever Trump is located, with their own nuclear strike.

Because Trump will have demonstrated that he is insane, and, out of self-defense, they’ll take him out.

Or the American military will arrest and execute him after a summary court-martial.

Let’s hope this doesn’t happen. Oh, Mr. Vance, you really do need to pursue 25th Amendment proceedings with vigor.
