I don’t know how many folks participate in the public computing projects, but I’ve been doing so for so long that I don’t recall when I started. Today I received an email from the SETI@Home folks, who are analyzing data from various telescopes for any signs of extra-terrestrial civilizations, that they’re overwhelmed with data to analyze and need more participants.
