I think this Fox clip illustrates the limitations of the Republican Party these days:

It’s the relentless hammering of the theme that the Democratic Party hates America. I’ve seen it here and from Erick Erickson and a few other conservative pundits – and I don’t go out hunting it.
Meanwhile, the Republicans have, until recently, been supporting President Trump and basically ignoring their responsibility to bring their collective wisdom to the governance and foreign relations question.
Yeah, no snorting in the back of the room.
To return to the observation, the refusal of the Republicans to fulfill the responsibilities of being American legislators amounts to a real betrayal and hatred of America. Depend on Donald “The Amateur” Trump to take care of everything?
I’m sorry, Donald is busy designing ballrooms and pursuing fallacious economic theories.
Here’s the thing, though: This is the same warmed-over pablum from twenty, thirty years ago. That’s all this guy can do – put on a suit and tie and yell that the Democrats hate America.
Old, angry yelling because his Party is incompetent at everything it turns its attention to. And, as RNC Chairman, he bears a great deal of responsibility.
