They forgot one weapon, though, and that would be EMP (Electro-Magnetic Pulse) weapons. These disable or destroy unshielded computers; the shields would probably be made of lead. How thick of shielding?
I’m not sure. Heavy enough to inhibit drones? Maybe. And the stronger the EMP, the thicker the required shielding.
EMPs, like nuclear weapons, are indiscriminate, although they kill people only through collateral effects, at least at relatively low strengths. So I understand, at least. This means we may have to decide: computers and unending wars, or back to the ’50s, not only for invaders, but for us, too.
