While right wing zealots will try to justify this silliness in various ways, this just improves the clarity of a months-long observation put forth by many, many people: Trump’s dementia is kicking in deeper and deeper.

VP Vance and/or Speaker Johnson have a clear responsibility to remove the man from the office, and to do so immediately. Yes, yes, I understand there are Trump Forever dead-enders in both the Cabinet and Congress who would never agree to such a move; they should be called out and metaphorically pilloried for denying a disabling medical condition has afflicted the President.
And has for a long, long time.
There. I said it without rendering a moral judgment. The aforementioned dead-enders should consider a simple medical fact, and, whether they have some metaphysical faith in Trump, or are cynical manipulators of this Administration, it’s time to move Trump out of a dangerous Office and into retirement. Will Vance be any better? That remains to be seen. This is the first, hardest step, though.
