The problem with “onesideism” is that it fits the facts around a narrative. Onesidedness is a product of ideology, of a belief that something is true because it ought to be true. I would only quibble that facts is a poor word selection, and perhaps assertions would be more accurate. Barber not only employs this in the context of Trumpism, but also The New York Times’ decision to remove opinion editor James Bennet.
