Last night my Arts Editor and I were watching the WCCO news, one of the local news stations, on their nightly broadcast, and one of the two co-anchors, Frank Vascellaro, covered yesterday’s little controversy with Trump’s advisor Conway concerning alternative facts. And then, as they went to the next story, Frank started coughing. First into the live mic, and then, when they turned that one off, I could hear it echoing throughout the studio. His co-anchor covered for him for about 3 minutes, and when he did return, he looked a little glassy-eyed.
Seems to me the media is really finding it hard to swallow the Trump Administration so far.
I hope Frank continues to gag. An honest reaction to extremism is an important part of the news casting process.
