The\u00a0unprecedented initiative, which is part of the National Project for the Revival of Ancient Egyptian Music, was launched by professor <a href=\"http:\/\/khairyelmalt.com\/drkhairy\/ancient-egyptian-music\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?hl=en&amp;q=http:\/\/khairyelmalt.com\/drkhairy\/ancient-egyptian-music\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1495061932234000&amp;usg=AFQjCNFzcB3mfB-y66hwZc0yZcU78j9VZQ\">Khairy el-Malt<\/a>, who has been interested in\u00a0ancient Egyptian music since the 1990s. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>The band was formed\u00a0after extensive academic research of the instruments and other aspects of the music of pharaonic times. \u201cThis project has two aspects: academic and cultural,\u201d Malt added. \u201cOn the academic front, we thoroughly studied all the pharaonic instruments discovered worldwide. We began with eight instruments and we have reproduced nearly 21 instruments.
