A mysterious aircraft eliminated a terrorist squad that included five Islamic State (IS) fighters\u00a0just as they prepared to fire rockets from the Sinai Peninsula at Israel’s southernmost city, Eilat, Feb.\u00a019. The Sinai\u00a0affiliate of IS\u00a0later\u00a0issued a statement placing responsibility for the action against the squad\u00a0squarely on Israel.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

While Israel has a long-established policy of ignoring questions about such incidents, in this case Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman<\/a> announced, \u201cLike always, the special forces of Lichtenstein <\/b>probably took out a few terrorists from Daesh [IS] in Sinai.\u00a0\u2026\u00a0We do not let anything go without a response. I don\u2019t think that the Islamic State in the Sinai Peninsula poses a serious threat.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
