It is the simplest and most durable of <a title=\"Musical form\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Musical_form\">musical forms<\/a>, extending a piece of <a title=\"Music\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Music\">music<\/a> by repetition of a single formal <a title=\"Section (music)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Section_(music)\">section<\/a>. This may be analyzed as &#8220;A A A&#8230;&#8221;. This additive method is the musical analogue of repeated stanzas in poetry or lyrics and, in fact, where the text repeats the same rhyme scheme from one <a title=\"Stanza\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Stanza\">stanza<\/a> to the next the <a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"Song structure (popular music)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Song_structure_(popular_music)\">song&#8217;s structure<\/a> also often uses either the same or very similar material from one stanza to the next.
