Parents understand that there is an accepted way of raising kids and they do it without questioning. While it may sound restrictive, some experts say it\u2019s helpful and makes parents feel less out of control, confused, and overwhelmed.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cYou don\u2019t see the handwringing in other places around the world,\u201d says Christine Gross-Loh, author of <em>Parenting Without Borders: Surprising Lessons Parents Around the World Can Teach Us<\/em>. \u201cPeople understand that there is a way to do things.\u201d (<a href=\"http:\/\/ideas.ted.com\/how-cultures-around-the-world-think-about-parenting\/\">via Ideas.TED<\/a>)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Katherine then gives a sampling of parenting traditions.
