And I can’t imagine this guy’s part of the GOP future<\/a>. \u00a0You do have to wonder what is going on in Maine when a clown like Governor<\/strong> LePage<\/em> is making statements like these,\u00a0courtesy <\/a>Steve Benen on MaddowBlog<\/b><\/i>:<\/p>\n

LePage starts by saying he wants Trump \u201cto show some authoritarian power,\u201d which is obviously antithetical to our system of government at the most basic of levels. The governor then endorses \u201cthe rule of law,\u201d which pretty directly contradicts the call for \u201cauthoritarian power\u201d he mentioned just seconds earlier.<\/p>\n

Then, note how the governor, moment[s] after calling for a chief executive to show \u201cauthoritarian power,\u201d complains that President Obama operates independently too much<\/em>, which in turn has pushed the United States towards \u201canarchy.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Based on a lot of other statements he’s made, you have to seriously wonder if he can follow a logical line of reasoning. He seems to be the epitome of “Feel, don’t think.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
