{"id":5415,"date":"2016-09-25T19:00:45","date_gmt":"2016-09-26T00:00:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/huewhite.com\/umb\/?p=5415"},"modified":"2016-09-25T19:01:00","modified_gmt":"2016-09-26T00:01:00","slug":"fwso-ctd","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/huewhite.com\/umb\/2016\/09\/25\/fwso-ctd\/","title":{"rendered":"FWSO, Ctd"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My step-cousin Scott Chamberlain, classical music and organization blogger, sees the <em><strong>Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra<\/strong><\/em> management board <a href=\"https:\/\/maskoftheflowerprince.wordpress.com\/2016\/09\/18\/slime-and-slander-the-fwso-email\" target=\"_blank\">try to reach\u00a0the low standards<\/a> he&#8217;s already generously set for them &#8230; and not make it. Scott is referencing an email from\u00a0<em><strong>FWSO<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0President and CEO Adkins to other members of the board:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>And finally there comes a slanderous grand finale\u2014an attack that calls out a private citizen <em>by name<\/em>, and then drags that person\u2019s good name through the mud. Ms. Adkins quotes outside sources to imply that one of the people reaching out to the FWSO board members was mentally disturbed, a stalker, and probably dangerous.\u00a0 Don\u2019t like the message?\u00a0 Smear the messenger.<\/p>\n<p>The problem is\u2026 every bit of Ms. Adkins\u2019s attack is completely false.\u00a0 For one, the \u201clawyers\u201d that Ms. Adkins uses to support her accusations <em>don\u2019t exist<\/em>.\u00a0 They are entirely fictitious.\u00a0 No one with either of those names practices law in the state of Minnesota.\u00a0 No one with either of those names has served on the board of Minnesota Orchestra.<\/p>\n<p>I mean, this is bizarre.\u00a0 It took me all of three minutes on the Internet to show that these \u201clawyers\u201d were completely made up, and the site Ms. Adkins referenced was a fraud.<\/p>\n<p>But I didn\u2019t even have to do the digging myself.\u00a0 Andrew Patner, the late music critic who wrote for the Chicago <em>Sun-Times<\/em>, wrote about his experience with these very same \u201clawyers\u201d <a href=\"http:\/\/viewfromhere.typepad.com\/the_view_from_here\/2008\/09\/technology----part-the-second----21st-century-con-jobs-psychological-division.html\">here<\/a>, and elaborated on dealing with these Internet fakes many times, in many locations. \u00a0He also references the work of a Denver writer who\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20080430063532\/http:\/www.futuregringo.com\/index.php\/2007\/07\/page\/2\/\">wrote extensively about his concerns about this fraudulent website<\/a>. This information is certainly available to the general public.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Ms. Adkins&#8217; bio, as published in<em><strong> D Magazine<\/strong><\/em> on the occasion of her election to the <em><strong>FWSO<\/strong><\/em> Presidency, is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dmagazine.com\/arts-entertainment\/2011\/01\/fort-worth-symphony-names-new-president\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>. You can have valid differences of opinion, but there&#8217;s a line that&#8217;s crossed when fraud occurs. If the letter containing the fraudulent information is authentic, and the fraud is real, it should then be clear that she&#8217;s no longer functioning at a high enough level to belong on the board.
