After all, the President <em>is<\/em> the President, and the occasional subterfuge to keep him safe from attempts by national adversaries to assassinate him doesn&#8217;t strike me as a terrible crime.<\/p>\n<p>Not like sending goons in <strong>ICE<\/strong> uniforms to Minnesota to try to spread terror.<\/p>\n<p>Or continuing his lifelong grifting ways.<\/p>\n<p>Or endangering <strong>NATO<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It feels more like his protectors did something unusual, but not criminal, and the critics had a freakout.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe I&#8217;m wrong. Maybe it was a terrible crime.
