The Sheep Detectives<\/strong><\/em><\/a> (2026), as a title, is a little too painfully on the nose, honestly, for this story. The herd’s shepherd is dead, the sheep are in a tumult, and to ask a sheep to understand human society well enough to solve a moderately twisted crime just seems too unlikely.<\/p>\n

Not that the story is uninteresting, or the acting inferior, or it all lacks a sense of humor. All of those elements are present. But there is a strain on the sense of credulity necessary to accept a story of this sort.<\/p>\n

It may help to think of Chicken Run<\/strong><\/em><\/a> (2000), which faces similar straits and manages to pass through them. Does The Sheep Detectives<\/strong><\/em>? It may all depend on how tightly bound you are to the Earth.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
