The\u00a0abscopal effect<\/b>\u00a0is a hypothesis in the treatment of\u00a0metastatic cancer<\/a>\u00a0whereby shrinkage of untreated tumors occurs concurrently with shrinkage of tumors within the scope of the localized treatment. R.H.
