Steve Benen expresses confusion <\/a>over President Trump’s habit of giving everyone in sight … shoes. The Herald News <\/a><\/i><\/b>has the story:<\/p>\n

Have you ever imagined what it’d be like to spend a day in the president’s shoes? Well, for Trump allies<\/a> on Capitol Hill, that aspiration isn’t as far-fetched as one might think.<\/p>\n

In fact, a recent report from The Wall Street Journal<\/a> details that President Trump has been gifting his favorite shoes, the Florsheim Cap Toe Oxfords<\/a>, en masse to White House advisors, agency leads and seemingly anyone who finds themselves in the Oval Office with the salesman-in-chief (read: leader of the free world).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Welcome to the Hollywood universe that resides in President Trump’s head. I have no idea why he picked inexpensive Florsheim<\/strong> <\/em>shoes, but it appears that he’s a vision in his head of all his men looking … the same.<\/p>\n

In this Colbert video <\/a>it looked like Trump was wearing the same shoes, too.<\/p>\n

Can his signature blue blazer and red tie be far behind? A universe run by Donald Trumps<\/strong>?<\/p>\n

This isn’t a joke. Given his pathological narcissism, it’s very possible he’s trying to populate his universe with himself.
