Wiles tends to stray from the spotlight, seemingly preferring to carry out her job behind the scenes at the White House.<\/p>\n<p>In the fourth paragraph of the two-part interview, Wiles was quoted\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/administration\/5650777-trump-score-settling-agreement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">as saying Trump<\/a>\u00a0has an \u201calcoholic\u2019s personality,\u201d that\u00a0<span class=\"person-popover\" data-nid=\"46621\"><a class=\"person-popover__link\" href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/people\/j-d-vance-2\/\">Vice President Vance\u00a0<\/a><\/span>\u201chas been a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/administration\/5650899-white-house-chief-staff-vp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">conspiracy theorist for a decade<\/a>,\u201d and that Office of Management and Budget Director\u00a0<span class=\"person-popover\" data-nid=\"46914\"><a class=\"person-popover__link\" href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/people\/russell-vought\/\">Russell Vought\u00a0<\/a><\/span>is a \u201cright wing absolute zealot.\u201d\u00a0<em>[<a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/administration\/5651008-wiles-pushes-back-vanity-fair\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>The Hill<\/strong><\/a>]<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And after it was published?<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>White House chief of staff\u00a0<span class=\"person-popover\" data-nid=\"92867\"><a class=\"person-popover__link\" href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/people\/susie-wiles\/\">Susie Wiles\u00a0<\/a><\/span>forcefully pushed back on Vanity Fair\u2019s framing of her interview with author Chris Whipple, calling\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/administration\/5650777-trump-score-settling-agreement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tuesday\u2019s sweeping article<\/a>\u00a0a \u201cdisingenuously framed hit piece\u201d on her, President Trump, the Cabinet, and White House staff.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSignificant context was disregarded and much of what I, and others, said about the team and the President was left out of the story. I assume, after reading it, that this was done to paint an overwhelmingly chaotic and negative narrative about the President and our team,\u201d Wiles wrote in her\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SusieWiles\/status\/2000943061627548148\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">first authored post<\/a>\u00a0on the social platform X since October 2024.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/huewhite.com\/umb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/PXL_20220724_141259485.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-43318 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/huewhite.com\/umb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/PXL_20220724_141259485.jpg?resize=267%2C289&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"267\" height=\"289\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/huewhite.com\/umb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/PXL_20220724_141259485.jpg?w=1184&amp;ssl=1 1184w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/huewhite.com\/umb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/PXL_20220724_141259485.jpg?resize=277%2C300&amp;ssl=1 277w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/huewhite.com\/umb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/PXL_20220724_141259485.jpg?resize=946%2C1024&amp;ssl=1 946w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/huewhite.com\/umb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/PXL_20220724_141259485.jpg?resize=768%2C832&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/huewhite.com\/umb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/PXL_20220724_141259485.jpg?resize=139%2C150&amp;ssl=1 139w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 267px) 100vw, 267px\" \/><\/a>Followed by sycophancy so honeyed that it makes me gag. But looking over more of her quotes, it just seems like someone lit themselves up and ran around in circles in order to distract from a far more horrendous report &#8211; say, the Epstein Files &#8211; just getting ready to drop.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, something like alcoholism, since it&#8217;s treated as a disease rather than a personal failing these days, and Trump is a famous teetotaler <em>in any case<\/em>, actually makes him look better.<\/p>\n<p>And Wiles running around screaming that the media mislead her just seems ingenuous in the extreme.<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t get me wrong, this is a story to watch, but keep an eye out for other incidents, reports, and activities that may be of far larger significance in the end.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The media is all a-twitter about the latest scandal &#8211; Chief of Staff Susie Wiles dishing on her boss, the President.
