Folks who are paying attention will recall<\/a>, years ago<\/del> just a few weeks ago, when Paramount<\/strong><\/em>, now owned by Skydance Media<\/strong><\/em>, and its legendary show Sixty Minutes<\/em>, succumbed to a dubious lawsuit and agreed to pay a settlement of $16 million in response to silly accusations by President Trump.<\/p>\n

Evidently, Skydance<\/strong><\/em>, et al, do not understand that bullies constantly probe for weakness, and, when detected, exploit it to the full.<\/p>\n

When you realize Come home to roost<\/strong> isn’t just a quaint remark concerning bad judgment.<\/em><\/p><\/div>\n

So this should come as no surprise:<\/p>\n

Homeland Security Secretary\u00a0Kristi Noem\u00a0<\/a><\/span>accused CBS News of selectively editing footage from her Sunday interview, cutting some of her remarks about Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the Salvadoran national who was mistakenly deported and returned to the U.S. to face separate charges.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I anticipate a lawsuit demanding ridiculous damages, seeing as Trump’s previous lawsuit asked for $20 billion in damages, and then Skydance<\/strong><\/em> will be up against it, as they say.<\/p>\n

This is what happens when you let financial considerations have priority over everything else, including questions of loyalty to political systems.<\/p>\n
