Liz Cheney \u201ca crying lunatic<\/a>.\u201d But the words \u2014 the ones that weren\u2019t slurred \u2014 came out in a singsong monotone. And then he spotted Texas Gov. Greg Abbott in the audience, and went off<\/a> on what seemed like an endless riff on border-wall design and technology.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe had a fence structure that they worked on \u2014 we worked on, the governor worked on it with me \u2014 and I didn\u2019t love it, to be honest. I wanted a nice, pre-cast concrete, like 40, 50 feet high. It could have been a \u2018T\u2019 shape or a \u2018Y\u2019 shape. I love construction…\u201d This kind of talk went on for four minutes and 45 seconds, with riffs on steel rebar and anti-climb panels and with Vice President JD Vance standing behind him with a pained, constipated expression, occasionally forcing a laugh. Vance looked like a modern-day Ed McMahon as sidekick to a Carnac the Magnificent<\/a> who\u2019s rapidly losing his powers of cognition, let alone precognition. I have already asked<\/a> if President Trump’s VP and potential successor, Vice President Vance, has picked out his candidate for Vice President if he must move into the Oval Office after President Trump exits, whether he’s pushed out the door to waiting family, or trots out the door with a truly huge wheelbarrow of money.<\/p>\n
Let’s face it: The President is the staggering horse upon which a horde of grifters and con
men<\/del>-people have made their way into, and near, positions of power and influence, but he may be staggering badly.
