One of the\u00a0Dead Sea scrolls<\/a>\u00a0(4Q405) construes them as angels; late sections of the\u00a0Book of Enoch<\/a>\u00a0(61:10, 71:7) portray them as a class of\u00a0celestial<\/a>\u00a0beings who (along with the\u00a0Cherubim<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Seraphim<\/a>) never sleep, but guard the\u00a0throne of God<\/a>.
