I’ve long beat the drum for one of the GOP’s<\/strong><\/em> central illnesses being their tendency towards toxic team politics<\/a><\/em>, or known to the political world as Democrats fall in love, Republicans fall in line<\/em>: party line voting.<\/p>\n

And it seems a few of them are inching slowly, with eyes squinted, towards this diagnosis. Well, one, at least. Sort of.<\/p>\n

Georgia Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan, a Republican, declared himself unable to vote for either Walker or Warnock.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen there\u2019s division in the locker room, there\u2019s finger-pointing. It\u2019s usually kind of the hallmark sign of a losing season,\u201d said Duncan, who has been highly critical of Walker. He drew derision from other Republicans this week after he said he stood in line to vote but left without casting a ballot.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve been asked to be team players as Republicans for too long,\u201d added Duncan, who also has criticized Trump\u2019s grip on the party.\u00a0[WaPo<\/strong><\/a>]<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Can’t vote for Walker, that’s a key part of breaking the rule of toxic team politics<\/em>. Then Duncan veers off.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re done being team players. If we want to win, we need team leaders.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Maybe someone lusting for power.<\/p>\n
