Here&#8217;s some tentative evidence for it, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailykos.com\/stories\/2022\/9\/30\/2126164\/-Independent-women-ditch-Republicans-while-independent-men-sour-on-Trump?detail=emaildkre&amp;pm_source=DKRE&amp;pm_medium=email\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">via<\/a> Kerry Eleveld on <em><strong>Daily Kos<\/strong><\/em>: <em>Two Civiqs tracking polls suggest that Republicans and Donald Trump are in a newly precarious position with both independent women and men, but likely for different reasons<\/em>. Visit the link for more information.<\/li>\n<li>Filed under <strong>SOMEONE WAS LISTENING<\/strong>: Following the <em><strong>Politico<\/strong><\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/huewhite.com\/umb\/2022\/10\/07\/the-2022-senate-campaign-updates-32\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report<\/a> that national Democrats are failing to spend on the close race in North Carolina, the <strong><em>Senate Majority PAC<\/em><\/strong>, aligned with Senate Majority Leader Schumer, is now &#8230; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/meet-the-press\/meetthepressblog\/democrats-ramp-spending-north-carolina-senate-race-rcna51008\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>reserving an additional $4 million in TV ads in the race, according to spending figures shared first with NBC News<\/em><\/a>. I think North Carolina is a prime pickup opportunity in the Senate for the Democrats, not only this cycle, but in 2026, when Senator Tillis&#8217; (R) term comes to an end. Cheri Beasley (D) winning this cycle would certainly give the Democratic candidate in 2026 some needed momentum.<\/li>\n<li>A <em><strong>CNN Poll<\/strong><\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.documentcloud.org\/documents\/23126492-cnn-poll-arizona-october-2022\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gives<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/huewhite.com\/umb\/2022\/10\/07\/the-2022-senate-campaign-updates-32\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Arizona<\/a> Senator Kelly (D) a 51% &#8211; 45% lead over challenger Blake Masters (R). <em><strong>CNN<\/strong><\/em> gets a B <a href=\"https:\/\/projects.fivethirtyeight.com\/pollster-ratings\/cnn-opinion-research-corp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rating<\/a> from <em><strong>FiveThirtyEight<\/strong><\/em>. Margin of error is thought to be \u00b1 4.4 points.<\/li>\n<li>Another <strong><em>CNN Poll<\/em><\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.documentcloud.org\/documents\/23126491-cnn-poll-nevada-october-2022\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">calls<\/a> the <a href=\"https:\/\/huewhite.com\/umb\/2022\/10\/04\/the-2022-senate-campaign-updates-31\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nevada<\/a> race of Senator Cortez Masto and challenger Adam Laxalt a dead heat. The actual numbers show Laxalt up by two points, 48% &#8211; 46%. Margin of error is thought to be \u00b1 4.7 points. Can Masto re-energize the Hispanic vote?<\/li>\n<li>An <em><strong>InsiderAdvantage<\/strong><\/em> poll in <a href=\"https:\/\/huewhite.com\/umb\/2022\/10\/04\/the-2022-senate-campaign-updates-31\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Georgia<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox5atlanta.com\/news\/warnock-leads-walker-georgia-senate-after-abortion-allegations\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gives<\/a> Senator Warnock (D) a 47% &#8211; 44% lead over <a href=\"https:\/\/huewhite.com\/umb\/2022\/10\/08\/redemption-and-the-senate-ctd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">scandal-ridden<\/a> challenger Herschel Walker (R). As the poll has a margin of error of \u00b1 4.2 points, that suggest this race is a dead heat. <strong><em>InsiderAdvantage<\/em><\/strong> has a B <a href=\"https:\/\/projects.fivethirtyeight.com\/pollster-ratings\/opinion-savvy-insideradvantage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rating<\/a> from\u00a0<em><strong>FiveThirtyEight<\/strong><\/em>. But there&#8217;s also gossip: Walker Campaign Political Director Taylor Crowe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2022\/10\/07\/politics\/herschel-walker-taylor-crowe-georgia-senate\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">has been fired<\/a>, reportedly for leaking information to the media. And another poll, by A <a href=\"https:\/\/projects.fivethirtyeight.com\/pollster-ratings\/surveyusa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rated<\/a> <em><strong>SurveyUSA<\/strong><\/em>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.surveyusa.com\/client\/PollReport.aspx?g=e363ce46-6a44-4584-9c5b-3c271473b1ba\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gives<\/a> Senator Warnock a 50% &#8211; 38% lead over Walker. This seems seriously out of line with other polls, but <em><strong>SurveyUSA<\/strong><\/em> is A <a href=\"https:\/\/projects.fivethirtyeight.com\/pollster-ratings\/surveyusa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rated<\/a>, so it must be taken seriously. Walker&#8217;s campaign is burning, are Republican officials paying attention? Or have they given up?<\/li>\n<li>Lt. Governor John Fetterman (D) continues to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/polling-institute\/reports\/monmouthpoll_pa_100522\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lead<\/a> challenger Dr. Mehmet Oz (R) in <a href=\"https:\/\/huewhite.com\/umb\/2022\/10\/04\/the-2022-senate-campaign-updates-31\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pennsylvania<\/a> according to a <em><strong>Monmouth University<\/strong><\/em> poll, 48% &#8211; 43%. <strong>Notable<\/strong>: <em>Few specific reasons emerge in describing reluctance to support the Democrat, but it is worth noting that only one probable Fetterman voter in the poll mentioned health concerns as a reason they might not support him<\/em>. Fetterman&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/huewhite.com\/umb\/2022\/06\/11\/the-2022-senate-campaign-strong-fingernails\/#pennsylvania\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">misstep at primary time<\/a>, when he suffered a stroke, is apparently not a big deal.<\/li>\n<li>Oh, yeah, add California to the list of Senate seats for which no polling apparently exists.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/huewhite.com\/umb\/2022\/10\/01\/the-2022-senate-campaign-updates-30\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Colorado<\/a> Senator Bennet (D) leads challenger Joe O&#8217;Dea (R) 50% &#8211; 41%, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.filesforprogress.org\/datasets\/2022\/10\/dfp_co_midterm_toplines.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according<\/a> to B <a href=\"https:\/\/projects.fivethirtyeight.com\/pollster-ratings\/data-for-progress\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rated<\/a> <em><strong>Data for Progress<\/strong><\/em>. It&#8217;s margin of error is \u00b1 3 points, but I have to wonder: &#8230; <em>conducted a survey of 1,005 likely voters in Colorado using SMS and web panel respondents<\/em>. Is this really a reliable survey method? I admit I&#8217;m not up on Internet methodology. If it&#8217;s accurate, O&#8217;Dea is running out of time to persuade independent Bennet voters to change their minds.<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Politico <\/strong><\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/politics\/republicans-slash-ad-buys-in-nh-senate-race-as-hassan-leads\/ar-AA12IBnI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">via<\/a><em><strong> MSN<\/strong><\/em>: <em>Senate Republicans\u2019 campaign arm is pulling millions of dollars in spending from New Hampshire\u2019s race to shore up other candidates across the board, as Democratic incumbent Maggie Hassan continues to poll ahead of her challenger.\u00a0<\/em>Much like Senators Kelly, Cortez Masto, and Murray, Senator Hassan was considered an opportunity for a Senate seat pickup by Republicans. Apparently, Republican leaders are finding extremist candidate Don Bolduc is not an effective force in <a href=\"https:\/\/huewhite.com\/umb\/2022\/10\/07\/the-2022-senate-campaign-updates-32\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New Hampshire<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/huewhite.com\/umb\/2022\/10\/01\/the-2022-senate-campaign-updates-30\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">His flip-flopping<\/a>, however, has been impressive. Too bad the Olympics didn&#8217;t make it an Olympic sport, eh?<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/huewhite.com\/umb\/2022\/06\/11\/the-2022-senate-campaign-strong-fingernails\/#oregon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Oregon<\/a> is finally getting a Senate poll, and it&#8217;s <strong><em>Emerson College Polling<\/em><\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/emersoncollegepolling.com\/oregon-2022-republican-christine-drazan-with-two-point-lead-over-democrat-tina-kotek-for-governorship-sen-wyden-holds-19-point-lead-in-re-election-bid\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">giving<\/a> incumbent Senator Wyden (D) a 51% &#8211; 32% lead over challenger Jo Rae Perkins (R). Six years ago Wyden won by 23 points, so a 19 point lead is no surprise at all.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/huewhite.com\/umb\/2022\/09\/05\/the-2022-senate-campaign-updates-22\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Indiana&#8217;s<\/a> Senate race now has a second poll, and there may be something going on here. <strong><em>ARW<\/em> Strategies<\/strong> is <a href=\"https:\/\/southbendvoice.com\/2022\/10\/07\/is-the-indiana-senate-race-close-mcdermott-and-young-tied-in-new-poll\/\">giving<\/a> Senator Todd Young (R) only a two point lead over challenger Mayor Thomas McDermott (D), 39% &#8211; 37%, in a race for a seat that Young won easily by ten points six years ago. The problem? <strong><em>ARW<\/em><\/strong> is unknown to <em><strong>FiveThirtyEight<\/strong><\/em>, so it&#8217;s difficult to judge whether or not this poll should be taken seriously. <strong><em>ARW<\/em><\/strong> thinks Todd will end up winning easily, but if McDermott is this close with four more weeks to go, and a lot of undecideds still available, this may be an upset in the making.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When the sweet thistles were harvested, we buried the link to previous news in a bale of it, completely by accident, and then dug for hours to find it. <a href=\"https:\/\/huewhite.com\/umb\/2022\/10\/07\/the-2022-senate-campaign-updates-32\/\">Here<\/a>.
