{"id":33042,"date":"2021-05-21T19:51:25","date_gmt":"2021-05-22T00:51:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/huewhite.com\/umb\/?p=33042"},"modified":"2021-05-21T19:51:25","modified_gmt":"2021-05-22T00:51:25","slug":"news-that-sounds-like-a-joke-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/huewhite.com\/umb\/2021\/05\/21\/news-that-sounds-like-a-joke-3\/","title":{"rendered":"News That Sounds Like A Joke"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/ufo-community-explodes-in-lawsuit-drama-accusations-of-luciferianism\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">From<\/a> <em><strong>The Daily Beast<\/strong><\/em>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The world of\u00a0<a class=\"TrackingLink LinkWrapper\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/these-men-in-black-think-aliens-made-your-iphone\">UFO<\/a>\u00a0conspiracy theorists has been torn apart by dueling lawsuits, pitting a prominent UFO influencer against a conspiracy-minded streaming video company valued at more than $200 million over who has the right to discuss their experiences with a benevolent species of blue alien.<\/p>\n<p>The battle taking place in a federal courthouse in Colorado centers on Corey Goode, a UFO promoter and self-proclaimed deep-space traveler who consorts with benevolent aliens, and his former employer, Gaia, a publicly traded streaming platform whose videos blend yoga instruction with stories about \u201cdeep state\u201d villains and benevolent aliens.<\/p>\n<p>After leaving his Gaia show in 2018, Goode engaged in a long-running feud with the company. In March 2020, Goode sued Gaia, alleging that the company had engaged in an elaborate conspiracy against him. On Monday, Gaia filed a countersuit, accusing Goode of defamation and concocting various schemes to sabotage the company.<\/p>\n<p>Attorneys for Goode and Gaia declined to comment.<\/p>\n<p>Much of the lawsuit centers on who has the right to talk about a bird-like species of\u00a0<a class=\"TrackingLink LinkWrapper\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/how-will-we-make-first-contact-with-alien-life\">alien<\/a>\u00a0called \u201cBlue Avians,\u201d as well as a covert space agency that are, in Goode\u2019s telling, both supposed to be real things.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I suppose that everyone has their sensitivities. Mine, oddly enough, isn&#8217;t that this feud exists. It&#8217;s that the company involved, Gaia &#8211; which I can only hope isn&#8217;t associated with Dr. <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/James_Lovelock\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lovelock<\/a> of the Gaia Hypothesis fame &#8211; <em>is worth over $200 million<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Are you kidding me?<\/p>\n<p>Or are these people who are the consumers of this trash simply enjoying a good story and know it&#8217;s all silly?<\/p>\n<p>I suppose we could compare it to <em><strong>Star Trek<\/strong><\/em>.
