The term has both religious and secular meanings.<\/p>\n<p>In some\u00a0<a title=\"Christianity\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Christianity\">Christian<\/a>\u00a0belief systems, an antinomian is one who takes the principle of\u00a0<a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"Salvation (Christianity)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Salvation_(Christianity)\">salvation<\/a>\u00a0by\u00a0<a title=\"Faith\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Faith#Christianity\">faith<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a title=\"Divine grace\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Divine_grace\">divine grace<\/a>\u00a0to the point of asserting that the saved are not bound to follow the moral law contained in the\u00a0<a title=\"Ten Commandments\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ten_Commandments\">Ten Commandments<\/a>.<em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Antinomianism\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Wikipedia<\/strong><\/a>]<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Noted in &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/religiondispatches.org\/evangelical-troll-erick-erickson-tries-to-theologize-cancel-culture-fails\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>EVANGELICAL TROLL ERICK ERICKSON TRIES TO THEOLOGIZE CANCEL CULTURE. FAILS<\/em><\/a>.&#8221; Daniel Schultz, <strong><em>Religion Dispatches<\/em><\/strong>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Salvation is never \u201cregardless of others.\u201d It\u2019s true, for example, that\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/bible.oremus.org\/?passage=Philippians+2:12-18\">Paul instructs the Philippians<\/a>\u00a0to \u201cwork out your own salvation in fear and trembling,\u201d but that\u2019s a way of saying \u201cmind your own business\u201d and even that advice comes in a community setting. Christian scripture and theology is abundantly clear that salvation is for the world, not individual believers without respect to the people around them.
