It\u2019s not real.\u2019 And when they should be&#8230; Facetiming their families, they\u2019re filled with anger and hatred.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/tgUgP6znAT\">pic.twitter.com\/tgUgP6znAT<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; New Day (@NewDay) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NewDay\/status\/1328319845012824065?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 16, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>I think &#8211; no, I know &#8211; what catches my attention is the total commitment of those dying to their myth and delusion: &#8230; <em>they&#8217;re filled with anger and hatred<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Hatred of who<\/em>, I wonder. I&#8217;m honestly puzzled. Hating reality seems like such a waste of time and energy. But that puzzle suggests that these patients, in one of the strongholds of what&#8217;s become the far-right, and thus of <strong>Covid-19<\/strong> denial, are the victims of an ideology and theology that seeks to deny reality when it&#8217;s not compatible with ideological or theological tenets.<\/p>\n<p>And when those tenets are more important than the facts on the ground, this is what happens.
