Kanye West<\/p><\/div>\n

* Kanye West and his Republican operative allies are moving forward with plans to get the entertainer on more presidential ballots, now targeting the competitive states of\u00a0Minnesota and Virginia<\/a>. West has also registered to vote for the first time, and not surprisingly given his efforts to help Trump, he registered\u00a0as a Republican<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The supposed strategy is to split the black community’s vote, but I have to wonder: will West serve as an alternative for Republicans who are distinctly uneasy with Trump, and yet cannot, for any of several reasons, vote Democratic?<\/p>\n

Perhaps, even, to prove, if only to themselves, they’re not racist<\/em>?<\/p>\n

It may be a stretch, but I can easily see a Republican Party, controlled as it is by second- and third-rate personalities, blundering in this classic manner. Their elected officials have made so many mistakes, committed so many gaffes, that it’s become tiresome to read about the latest – and I’m not even including President Trump in the mix. That the strategists are also screwing up is not unbelievable.<\/p>\n
