I’m still brooding on Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) and his anxiety-free reelection campaign<\/a>:<\/p>\n

Tom Cotton (R) will be defending his seat against, well, no one in particular. See, a local Democratic pol had filed to run, and two hours after the deadline,\u00a0he dropped out, claiming family illness<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 leaving the Democrats high and dry.<\/p>\n

Dirty politics? Bad luck? Cotton, who proved himself to be a real dick during the Obama years, is a shoe-in.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

So?<\/p>\n

Here’s what – if you’re an Arkansas voter disenchanted with Senator Cotton, do a write-in vote.<\/p>\n

OF JOSHUA MAHONY.<\/p>\n

We all know Cotton will win. But the goal here isn’t winning, not anymore. The goal is provocation<\/strong>. Let everyone write-in Mahony. Let that write-in vote grow big enough that Cotton doesn’t win in an overwhelming landslide.<\/p>\n

Maybe he only makes it over 50%.<\/p>\n

And then put an ear to the ground and a finger in the air, and listen for grumbling from the Cotton campaign. Let someone get a drink or three into themselves.<\/p>\n

And maybe someone will grumble about Mahony and bargains<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Even if the Republicans maintain control of the Senate, they’d probably have to expel Cotton for campaign rule violations.<\/p>\n
