{"id":288,"date":"2015-03-23T23:23:37","date_gmt":"2015-03-24T04:23:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/huewhite.com\/umb\/?p=288"},"modified":"2015-03-23T23:23:37","modified_gmt":"2015-03-24T04:23:37","slug":"climate-change-and-culture-war-ctd","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/huewhite.com\/umb\/2015\/03\/23\/climate-change-and-culture-war-ctd\/","title":{"rendered":"Climate Change and Culture War, Ctd"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>And today the GOP spews out more evidence of how the clutching hands of ideology have it by the neck &#8230; take it away, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.msnbc.com\/rachel-maddow-show\/mcconnell-increases-pressure-states-ignore-epa\" target=\"_blank\">Steve Benen<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div>We\u2019re well past the strange op-ed stage; McConnell yesterday \u201csent a detailed letter to every governor in the United States laying out a carefully researched legal argument as to why states should not comply with Mr. Obama\u2019s regulations.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div><\/div>\n<blockquote>\n<div>The letter even cites Laurence Tribe, a constitutional scholar at Harvard Law School, who believes the Obama administration\u2019s regulations probably exceed the EPA\u2019s legal authority.<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div><\/div>\n<blockquote>\n<div>But that doesn\u2019t mean Tribe is on board with McConnell\u2019s campaign.
