It&#8217;ll be interesting to see if the rivals continue to flay each other, thus alienating the opposition&#8217;s supporters, or if a temporary truce is called. If the former occurs, look for Senator Jones (D) to increase his chances of retaining the seat.<\/li>\n<li>The same <em><strong>NBC News<\/strong><\/em> story also reports &#8220;<em>Five other states also have postponed their primaries because of the coronavirus pandemic: <a href=\"https:\/\/huewhite.com\/umb\/2020\/02\/29\/the-2020-senate-campaign-jockeying-for-position#georgia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Georgia<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/huewhite.com\/umb\/2020\/02\/29\/the-2020-senate-campaign-jockeying-for-position#kentucky\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kentucky<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/huewhite.com\/umb\/2020\/02\/29\/the-2020-senate-campaign-jockeying-for-position#louisiana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Louisiana<\/a>, Maryland and Ohio<\/em>.&#8221; However, <a href=\"https:\/\/huewhite.com\/umb\/2020\/02\/29\/the-2020-senate-campaign-jockeying-for-position#kansas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kansas<\/a> is not, but the <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.ljworld.com\/news\/state-region\/2020\/mar\/18\/kansas-democrats-urging-voters-to-mail-ballots-amid-pandemic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Democrats are urging voters to use mail-in ballots<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/huewhite.com\/umb\/2020\/02\/29\/the-2020-senate-campaign-jockeying-for-position#illinois\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Senator Dick Durbin<\/a> (D-IL) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollcall.com\/2020\/03\/18\/rep-daniel-lipinski-loses-primary-rematch-to-marie-newman-in-illinois\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">now knows<\/a> his Republican opponent: former Lake County Sheriff Mark Curran.
