\nVan Gogh dreamt of a wild escape.
\nHe said, \u201cI can\u2019t abide
\none more pallid hillside,
\ngive me color, perspective and shape.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nhelped himself to the sacristy\u2019s liquor.
\nHe fell down in a swoon
\nin the ladies rest room
\nand awoke missing gaiters and knickers.
\n(This is too obvious. Someone has to have already written it.)<\/p>\n
\na gentleman asked, \u201cGoing my way?\u201d
\nI spitefully said,
\n\u201cNot unless I was dead.
\nIf you have to be going, then why wait?\u201d<\/p>\n
\nI read candy wrappers to stay sane.
\nI noticed a trend:
\nThat the more that you spend
\nthe louder your checkbook complains. (Stands to reason)<\/p>\n
\nand, so, herald the coming of spring.
\nThe flowers rejoice
\nwhen the frogs find their voice,
\nand the doves and the eagles take wing.<\/p>\n
\nmy beautiful tree full of cherries
\nwas stripped wholly bare
\nof all fruit that was there.
\nThen the sprites went off searching for berries.<\/p>\n
