{"id":257,"date":"2015-03-22T20:46:20","date_gmt":"2015-03-23T01:46:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/huewhite.com\/umb\/?p=257"},"modified":"2015-03-22T20:46:20","modified_gmt":"2015-03-23T01:46:20","slug":"passing-of-a-world-leader","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/huewhite.com\/umb\/2015\/03\/22\/passing-of-a-world-leader\/","title":{"rendered":"Passing of a World Leader"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lee Kuan Yew, first Prime Minister of Singapore and its founding father, died earlier today at age 91.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2015\/03\/23\/world\/asia\/lee-kuan-yew-founding-father-and-first-premier-of-singapore-dies-at-91.html\" target=\"_blank\">The New York Times<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"story-body-text story-content\" data-para-count=\"109\" data-total-count=\"890\">The nation, reflected the man: efficient, unsentimental, incorrupt, inventive, forward-looking and pragmatic.<\/p>\n<p class=\"story-body-text story-content\" data-para-count=\"287\" data-total-count=\"1177\">\u201cWe are ideology-free,\u201d Mr. Lee <a title=\"New York Times article\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2007\/09\/02\/world\/asia\/02singapore.html?pagewanted=1&amp;_r=0\">said in an interview<\/a> with The New York Times in 2007, stating what had become, in effect, Singapore\u2019s ideology. \u201cDoes it work? If it works, let\u2019s try it. If it\u2019s fine, let\u2019s continue it.
