His thesis is that this is a version of <em>riot behavior<\/em> spread over time and space.\u00a0 I suspect this piece and <a href=\"https:\/\/huewhite.com\/umb\/2015\/10\/07\/a-pattern-to-the-shootings\/\" target=\"_blank\">Dowd&#8217;s earlier piece<\/a> actually work together to some extent, as Dowd&#8217;s would provide an important communications element.\u00a0 Gladwell doesn&#8217;t suggest, however, that these are just sexually deprived young men.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Malcolm Gladwell addresses the tide of school shootings as well.
