Why? Because if it\u2019s not diplomacy, they don\u2019t have a job.\u201d &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have said that,\u201d Santorum replied. \u201cI said that when I ran four years ago \u2014 the first thing I\u2019d do is abolish the State Department and start all over.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Uh huh.\u00a0 And, Rick, you think they&#8217;re autonomous and just make bad treaties without oversight?<\/p>\n<p>This is why we have <em>executive positions<\/em>, baby!\u00a0 Like the one you&#8217;d have us believe you&#8217;re running for!\u00a0 The Secretary of State comes to you with, hey, this is what we can do, and, like, you say, no way, not good enough, let&#8217;s bomb them instead!<\/p>\n<p>This is the crap that happens when, faced with picking from orders from above and reality, you pick the former and then apply logic.\u00a0 Logic without good assumptions, i.e., factual understanding, is just another form of garbage.
