Ranked Choice Voting didn\u2019t result in a true majority as promised-simply a plurality measured differently. It didn\u2019t keep big money out of politics &amp; didn\u2019t result in a more civil election <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/mepolitics?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#mepolitics<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/0fEhD1dvAb\">pic.twitter.com\/0fEhD1dvAb<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Paul R. LePage (@Governor_LePage) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Governor_LePage\/status\/1078726890746191872?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 28, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Note <em><strong>Stolen Election<\/strong><\/em> is scrawled next to LePage&#8217;s initials. The goal is to spread the meme that <em><strong>RCV<\/strong><\/em> is not a valid voting system. How well this strategy will work is a little questionable in this case, as I doubt a sizable portion of the populace ever views such documents, and while <em><strong>Twitter<\/strong><\/em> is popular, I&#8217;m not sure this will attract a lot of attention, since soon-to-be-former Governor LePage (R-ME) has been considered a poor governor:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The two most unpopular governors in the country, Republican Mary Fallin in Oklahoma and Democrat Dan Malloy in Connecticut, are both leaving office in January with similarly anemic approval ratings \u2014 17 percent for Fallin and 20 percent for Malloy. Opposing partisans in both states are hoping the sour taste left in voters\u2019 mouths from their tenures will bring electoral dividends next month following two terms out of power.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"gmail_quote\"><p>It\u2019s a similar story with Susana Martinez of New Mexico, Rick Snyder of Michigan and Paul LePage of Maine, three term-limited Republicans who will leave office in January.
