[Parliament] has\u00a0asked approximately 2,000 questions of the Cabinet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The article said that while questioning ministers is part of the parliament\u2019s function, \u201cmany believe that in the last two years another goal was used for this function.\u201d The article states that with the exception of a handful of ministers, ministers \u201chave felt the shadow of impeachment above their heads.\u201d The article&#8217;s\u00a0reasons for record number of summons and questions range\u00a0from personal issues to having an eye on\u00a0the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.al-monitor.com\/pulse\/originals\/2015\/07\/iran-economy-and-politics-after-nuclear-deal.html\" target=\"_blank\">2016 parliamentary elections<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Arash Bahmani has written for Al-Monitor about the troubles facing Minister of Culture\u00a0and Islamic Guidance <a href=\"http:\/\/www.al-monitor.com\/pulse\/originals\/2015\/07\/culture-minister-under-fire.html\" target=\"_blank\">Ali Jannati<\/a>, who Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has reportedly reprimanded.
