{"id":15336,"date":"2018-04-15T20:17:04","date_gmt":"2018-04-16T01:17:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/huewhite.com\/umb\/?p=15336"},"modified":"2018-04-15T20:17:04","modified_gmt":"2018-04-16T01:17:04","slug":"a-lovely-story","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/huewhite.com\/umb\/2018\/04\/15\/a-lovely-story\/","title":{"rendered":"A Lovely Story"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/news\/inspired-life\/wp\/2018\/04\/14\/doctors-told-her-she-may-not-live-to-her-wedding-but-this-bride-refused-to-move-up-the-date\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">yesterday&#8217;s<\/a> <em><strong>WaPo<\/strong><\/em>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Just weeks until her wedding, Laurin Long sat down in front of the bathroom mirror, wrapped a blue-and-white striped towel around her shoulders and turned to her fiance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGo,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Bank, 34, switched on the hair clipper and slowly started to shave her head.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI woke up with bald spots this morning \u2014 so shaved head it is,\u201d the 29-year-old then-soon-to-be bride told family and friends in February during a nine-minute Facebook Live video.<\/p>\n<p>Laurin had battled breast cancer before and, in fact, had been bald when she met Michael three years ago.<\/p>\n<p>The breast cancer had returned.
